Xeloda (capecitabine) is an oral fluoropyrimidine carbamate antineoplastic developed by Roche. Each Xeloda 500mg tablet contains capecitabine 500mg, supplied in blister strips. Capecitabine is a prodrug that is enzymatically converted to 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) preferentially within tumour tissue, supporting its established role in the adjuvant and metastatic treatment of colorectal cancer, in metastatic breast cancer, and in the adjuvant treatment of gastric cancer in adult patients.
