1. Eligibility & Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to use our website or place an order.
• You are responsible for keeping your account details and password confidential and for activity under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information when registering and at checkout.
• You may not use our website for any unlawful or unauthorised purpose.

2. Products, Pricing & Availability

• We aim to describe and picture our products accurately, but we do not warrant that all descriptions, images or other content are completely accurate, current or error-free.
• All prices are shown in Sri Lankan Rupees (Rs) and are inclusive of applicable taxes. Delivery fees are shown separately at checkout.
• Prices, promotions and discounts are subject to change without notice and may be subject to additional terms or time limits.
• Stock is shared with our physical store. We confirm availability before dispatch, and will contact you if an item is unavailable.

3. Medicines & Pharmacy Products

• Prescription medicines require a valid prescription, which is reviewed by our pharmacist. We may decline or cancel any prescription order at our discretion. Payment for prescription items is taken only after the prescription has been approved.
• Certain pharmacy products are subject to pharmacist verification before dispatch.
• Product information on our website is provided for general reference only and is not medical advice. It is not a substitute for the guidance of a qualified doctor or pharmacist. Always read the label and any patient information leaflet, and follow the directions for use. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

4. Orders & Payment

• By placing an order you are making an offer to purchase. We may refuse or cancel any order — for reasons including unavailability, pricing or product errors, failed prescription verification, or suspected fraud.
• We accept payment by PayHere (cards and supported local wallets), bank transfer, and Cash on Delivery (COD).
• COD is available only for orders up to Rs 10,000. Orders above Rs 10,000 must be paid in advance by bank transfer or PayHere.
• For bank-transfer orders, your order is held until we verify your uploaded payment slip.
• We use a trusted third-party payment gateway to process payments securely and do not store your full card details.

5. Delivery & Pickup

• We deliver within Sri Lanka only, or you may collect your order free of charge from our Dehiwala store.
• Retail delivery fees are tiered by destination: Rs 499 within the Western Province (Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara) and Rs 599 for the rest of Sri Lanka. There is no free-delivery threshold.
• Orders are typically dispatched within 2–7 working days. Delivery times are estimates and may vary by location and other factors.
• Large, bulky or bulk orders, and wholesale orders, may have delivery charged separately based on the weight and size of the package; we will confirm any such charge with you before dispatch.
• We may contact you by phone or WhatsApp to confirm your order before dispatch.

6. Returns & Refunds

Returns, refunds and cancellations are governed by our Returns & Refund Policy, available on our website. In summary, all sales are final except for items that arrive damaged, defective, incorrect or expired, which must be reported within 3 days of delivery.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on our website — including text, images, logos and graphics — is the property of Lanka Chemist or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use, reproduce, distribute or modify any content without our prior written consent.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse our website, interfere with its operation or security, attempt unauthorised access, or use it to transmit unlawful or harmful content.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lanka Chemist and its owners, employees and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of your use of our website or products. Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Our products are provided without warranties beyond those implied by law and the manufacturer's own warranties.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Colombo.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may modify or update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. Please review them periodically.
