Can I order medicines online in Sri Lanka?
Yes. Lanka Chemist is an NMRA-registered pharmacy on Galle Road in Dehiwala, and you can send us your order without coming in: message the list on WhatsApp, or call the counter and read it out. A clear photo of your doctor’s note works just as well as a typed list. We check it against what is in stock, reply with a free quotation, and once you have paid by bank transfer we deliver it or have it waiting at the counter.
How quickly will you reply?
Usually within a couple of hours while the shop is open — Monday to Saturday from 9:30 AM, Sunday from 11 AM, and until 9 PM every day. Message us after hours and we will come back to you when we open.
How long does delivery take?
Order before 2 PM and it goes out the same day; after that it goes the next day. That is for Colombo and the suburbs — Dehiwala, Mount Lavinia, Ratmalana, Wellawatte, Kalubowila, Nugegoda, Maharagama, Rajagiriya, Battaramulla and the numbered Colombo areas. Anywhere else in the Western Province takes 2–5 working days. Everything depends on what we have in stock, which we tell you when we reply.

Do you deliver outside the areas you have listed?
Yes — anywhere else in the Western Province is LKR 499 and takes 2–5 working days. Further afield than that, you are welcome to collect from the shop or send a rider.
Can I pay cash on delivery?
No. Delivery orders are settled by bank transfer before we send them out. If you collect from the counter you can pay cash or card there.
Can I return something?
No — all sales are final and we cannot accept returns or exchanges. If an order reaches you damaged or incorrect, tell us within three days and we will put it right.
Where is the shop?
No. 34, Galle Road, Dehiwala, on the main road. Open Monday to Saturday 9:30 AM to 9 PM, and Sunday 11 AM to 9 PM. There is an evening OPD and a lab collection point at the same address.
Is Lanka Chemist a registered pharmacy?
Yes. We are registered with Sri Lanka’s National Medicines Regulatory Authority and have traded from No. 34, Galle Road, Dehiwala since 2024. Everything we dispense is sourced from authorised distributors, and every order is checked at the counter before it leaves us.
